Accommodation air conditioning
We removed the worn condensers and compressors and set Bitzer K1353T shell-and-tube condensers on new foundations. After aligning the units we ran new suction and discharge lines and flexible control connections, and changed the oil to synthetic Reniso Triton SEZ32.
Provision rooms and air handling units
In the meat and fish rooms we moved the evaporators to new positions and reconnected them with silver-brazed piping.
We leak-tested the air handling units serving the control room, galley and workshop, and fitted new Danfoss DML 163 filter-drier cores on their liquid lines.
Tests and commissioning readings
After the piping work we ran a 24-hour pressure test with dry nitrogen and pulled a vacuum to 500 microns to remove moisture. Each system was charged with 36 kg of R407C.
After the first start-up superheat was 5 K and the condensing temperature held at +37°C.
We also build and rebuild provision rooms and freezers for ships.
