About Cold World

We service, repair and install refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation on ships.

Working in ships' engine rooms since 2014

We started with conversions. New environmental rules were phasing out old refrigerants, and shipowners needed someone to convert their systems to approved alternatives.

Today we design, install and service refrigeration and air conditioning on all types of vessels. We work on board, in shipyards and in our own workshop, where we overhaul compressors.

We work wherever the ship is

We plan each trip around the ETA, and if the ship cannot wait, the technician sails with her. Our technicians speak English with the crew, and for work on offshore units and wind farms we have two people with offshore training.

Design, installation and overhauls done in-house

Our team includes an engineer, refrigeration technicians and an electrician, so we handle design, installation and controls ourselves. A typical crew on board is 2–3 people, more for larger jobs.
